With Valentine’s Day upon us, I bet you’re looking for an easy Valentine’s Day Gift for kids.
Sharing gifts at school or with friends is so much fun. This easy project is not only fun but it incorporates a sweet treat too.
In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to make this Easy Valentines Day Gift for kids using just a few supplies.
Supplies needed for this project:
Well before February rolls around the stores start pulling out merchandise to sell for Valentine’s Day. My local craft store pulls their Valentine’s Day stuff out at least a month or two before the holiday ever hits.
If you have kids, I’m sure you’re already thinking about what kind of fun and creative projects you can come up with. This is a super easy project that you can make with your little one.
Chances are if you have kids, you already had some cardstock laying around in your drawer for school projects. Cardstock comes in so many colors and some even have cute printed patterns.
You can use any type cardstock you may already have on hand or you can even poster board.
I just happened to have a pack of glittery poster board that I picked up for my daughter in the school supply section of our local Walmart store.
Poster board is perfect because it comes in all colors and some are even covered with glitter.
So, are you ready to get started?
STEP 1. Creating the perfect shapes for the Valentine’s Day gift project is super easy. In the video below, I’m going to walk you through the step-by-step process to make the shapes.
I also show you with a few clicks how to pick your shape, size the shape and how to weld everything together so you have one seamless cutout.
STEP 2. Now that you have your shape cut out, score the middle of the hexagon shape so it bends easily.
STEP 3. Place your lollipop stick in the whole that we created in the middle of the hexagon.
STEP 4. Bend the two hearts upward so each heart is touching at the curves. Place a tiny glue dot or a dot of glue from the hot glue gun on the inside of the heart where the curves touch.
STEP 5. Once the hearts are stuck together, place each letter of the LOVE where you want it on the heart. Use a tiny dot of hot glue on the back of each letter and place the letters where you want them on the heart.
STEP 6. Add a cute name tag if you’d like or maybe a bow to the stick, then these sweet treats are ready to share with friends.
I hope you enjoyed learning how to make these easy Valentine’s Day gifts for kids. Sweet treats have no age limit, so feel free to make these for friends of any age and share a sweet treat for Valentine’s Day!
