Cricut brand carries a huge line of vinyl to embellish all types of projects. But you might be wondering what is Cricut Infusible Ink? It’s one of my favorite products to use for crafting. So let me explain what Cricut Infusible Ink is, and how to use it.
Do you love using your Cricut machine to cut out vinyl or iron-on transfers for t-shirts and tote bags? Have you experienced peeling, flaking, or fading that can sometimes happen with using this method? I can’t wait to share a new product from Cricut that will revolutionize the way you create wearable designs! It’s Cricut Infusible Ink Transfer sheets. What is Cricut Infusible Ink?
If you’ve worked with iron-on vinyl in the past, you know there can be a host of things that can go wrong if you don’t apply it just right. Without enough heat or pressure, some areas of your design end up looking too light if the vinyl does stick. If you use too much heat, you can burn the vinyl. And after wearing and washing, the iron-on transfer can crack, peel, wrinkle, and flake.
Say goodbye to the problems of iron-on transfers when you use Cricut Infusible Ink. This ink is on the convenient sheets that can be cut to any design in Cricut Design Space. Once heat and pressure is applied, the ink infuses into the fibers of the fabric, instead of laying on top of the fabric. When Cricut Infusible Ink adheres to the fibers of your shirt, the vivid, vibrant design is 100% permanent, and no amount of stretching, washing, or twisting will ruin the design…EVER!
Cricut Infusible Ink comes in pre-inked solid or patterned sheets to be cut using the Cricut machine. Want to get a little more creative with your designs by using multiple colors? Cricut has a range of infusible ink pens designed to work with Cricut machines on laser copy paper.
No matter which option you choose, the result of using Cricut Infusible Ink is a pro-level permanent infusion.
To create your first Cricut Infusible Ink project, you’ll need a few materials:
TIP: When handling Cricut Infusible Ink, wear gloves so the oils in your hands will not damage the ink transfer sheet.
Cricut Infusible Ink has helped me brighten up my t-shirts, totes, and pillowcases and I love knowing that these designs are here to stay– no matter how many times I wash them!
